🔨 Roofing • Siding • Ventilation Specialists

If You’re Not Talking About Ventilation, You Shouldn’t Be Touching Roofs.
It’s that simple. If you’re a roofing company and you’re not bringing up ventilation — not explaining it, not inspecting it, not offering real solutions — then you’re not doing your job. Period.
Proper ventilation is a critical component of any roofing system.
It impacts your roof’s lifespan, energy efficiency, attic health, and even your home’s comfort level. Ignoring it can lead to mold, moisture damage, shingle failure, ice dams, and warranty issues. And yet, too many roofers skip this step entirely.
At Cycle Carpentry, we specialize in ventilation. It’s not an afterthought — it’s a key part of every roof we install or repair. We take the time to educate our customers, inspect existing conditions, and ensure your home is protected the way it should be.
So if your current roofer hasn’t brought it up? That’s a red flag.
We’re here to do it right — the first time.
📞 Reach out to Cycle Carpentry if you want the job done thoroughly, professionally, and with your home’s long-term health in mind.
It’s been an incredibly productive month, and we couldn’t be more grateful. After a slow winter and a quiet start to the year, it’s amazing to see how things have picked up. We’ve got a full schedule ahead and we’re just getting started this summer. Thank you all for the continued support, referrals, and trust! It truly means everything.

Siding project for a repeat customer
A few months ago we installed a new roof along with all new plywood decking, gutters and added all PVC trim and proper soffit ventilation.
This week we started to strip all the existing siding, replaced the necessary, rotted sheathing, and will start to install new monogram midnight blue vinyl siding. ✅✅✅
Holbrook Roof, siding, trim, and gutters complete after a good amount of time, rebuilding the roofing structure, as well as lots of rot throughout the siding.
We had a small crew dedicated to fixing this home while we worked on other jobs the past week. Everything came together great and we are just waiting for the electrician to wrap up the electrical.
I think it was a good thing rescheduling this project from yesterday till today. Typically we would strip and re-roof before the afternoon rain but if I had opened this up yesterday, we would’ve been in significant trouble.
This job went from bad to worse very quickly will need all the roof rafters sistered as well as all new three-quarter decking
📍 Job Update – Halifax Roofing Installation
Today we were working on a roof install for a client in Halifax, and something stood out that I felt was worth sharing.
When I showed up on site this morning, I noticed the shingles looked a little off. At first glance, it seemed like they were just drying unevenly, but when I came back later in the afternoon, it was still noticeable—and even more so under the sun. So I climbed up, had a close look, and sure enough, it looks like there’s a defect in the shingles. The coloring wasn’t applied evenly during manufacturing, leaving patches that just don’t blend right.
This is exactly why it’s important to hire a contractor who treats every job as if it were their own home. I wouldn’t want those mismatched shingles on my roof—and I won’t leave them on yours either.
Before the customer even noticed, I brought it to their attention and let them know I wasn’t satisfied with the product. I’ve already reached out to the shingle manufacturer’s rep and will be working directly with them to make things right.
That’s what true quality and accountability looks like—and it’s what every homeowner deserves. ✅
Looks like we might be doing this roof twice

Guys plugging away on day 2 of our Lakeville facelift
Notice our nice wide seamless corner boards and ENVS-house wrap we use while others charge extra for these items we include them as our standard practice!
We will still beat out any prices when it comes to siding and don’t let that make you believe we cut any corners. We install the best of the best!
Day 1 lakeville siding project ✅✅✅
Got most of the house stripped and water tight. Front garage wall was out of plum by 3 inches over had to pull the wall out and reinforce some framing to straighten it out. Siding just starting to go on
Tomorrow will be another productive day and will be probably hit the 1/2 way mark 🥳
New roof completed in East Bridgewater today. Ended up uncovering mold in the attic and had to re-plywood.
Lack of proper ventilation was the cause. Also when homeowners had their siding installed they were suppose to install vented soffit. Upon inspection found out yet another company cut corners on siding installed. Installed the vented soffit panels but never opened up the solid wood soffits to allow air to travel into attic.
We were able to install the new plywood as well as drilled down through the top of the wooden soffit without causing any damage to the vinyl soffit to allow proper air flow.
You will never hear about Cycle Carpentry cutting any corners ever! Call us for any roofing and siding needs.
We were approached by James Hardie cement board siding company last week about becoming part of their elite Contractor program. After a meeting with them this morning, we are happy to announce. We are going to be spending a lot more time installing James Hardie cement board siding.
While we will still be doing a lot of vinyl siding, this is just another option that we are able to offer our homeowners at very affordable pricing.
Many homeowners when they hear the name, James Hardie siding think it’s very expensive and out of their reach. I am happy to announce that we will be offering this type of siding at a small percentage more than our vinyl siding prices!
So there is absolutely no better time to reach out for your siding project! Give us a call and let us walk you through all of your options

this company was looking to partner with top level installers, and we met that mark 🙌
